You could use an area rug. Tie in that nice blue with the gray and brown. Also your two chairs look odd where they are. Perhaps one can move across the room ( on the wall we can't see)?

Ok. Area rug for a purchase item. But with what you have... Move the grey sofa in front of the fireplace, floating (not up against the wall). Next, take the two chairs and place one on each side of the fireplace facing the sofa.

I don't see that putting the TV over the FP is going to change the arrangement that much. If you move the chairs to flank the FP no one can see TV. I would suggest that you move the chairs in and angle them a bit. That will work good with an area rug also.

I like your furniture and the colors you've chosen, but the way you have it arranged looks like a waiting room. Pull all the seating off the walls and into the center of the room, ideally with the sofa facing the fireplace.

That oddly shaped map is not going to lend itself to a gallery wall. Do you have other art chosen for the wall already?

Will the TV fit on the wall where you have the shot glasses?

Yes, groveraxle has a good solution. Can you move the TV across from the couch , so just down that wall under the shot glasses? If yes , then put one chair on each side of the couch , angled just a bit.

Do you have one long wall for the sofa or the TV?

Can you sketch room with all the openings in place so we can see where the sofa can actually fit without blocking anything? That would be a great help!

What are the dimensions of the room?

Try pulling your couch and chairs even a bit more out into the room with the set up I suggested. You should be able to get out the sliding door. It's ok if the chair is somewhat in the way - they are sliding doors not swinging ? I think it looks so much better with the chairs on either side. Good balance and use of space.
