Your Winchester Cathedral is lovely and obviously very hardy. I dug mine up last winter because it had suckered badly and had not flowered very well for two or three years. As it was about 15 yo, I was going to throw it in the rubbish and order a new one, but decided to clear the damaged roots, pruned it right back and since I had a large pot handy, planted it in the pot and it has flowered almost nonstop since. I had forgotten how pretty it is and how it often has pink shading through it. On the really hot days around Christmas, it could have been mistaken for Redoute.

Thank you Melodye! I will keep that in mind when this one gets a bit older, and its nice to find out it has good longevity. Really great to learn you can revive it when it looks like its reday for the comost heap. I bought this one, a potted standard in the clearance bin at the end of summer. It is really a survivor as it was quite a mess when I found it. Since then, I have been so impressed by it, even got some pink striped blooms. A really nice surprise.

Unfortunately I do not know the name of the florist rose, but what a stunner it is.

Beautiful! A snowy bloom on a snowy day! Hope mine looks that good now that it's been transplanted to a better spot! Love that stripey florist rose too.
