You need to have a flooring contractor come look at them. If they are engineered with a thin wear layer its not likely.

That looks like Brazilian cherry. Yes it can be distressed but I'm warning you that's a straight expert hard as hell job to pull off. Hire only the best qualified technician. 'Joe the floor guy' will not have even close to the rite skill set to accomodate you. Look for NWFA certified installers on this website.
