Ficus Microcarpa Losing Leaves FAST

Got a fairly large ginseng, roots are nine inches across and the bush of leaves is about ten inches across. Maybe a foot tall. Lush green, waxy leaves, large beautiful roots.

BEFORE

Brought it home from a department store. It was lush, green, many leaves. I checked very thoroughly for pests, when brought home, I sprayed her with neem anyway--just to be sure. I let her sit to get used to the environment for about five days. She was in that terrible peat-only miracle mix crap. And she had a little bit of fungus gnats, but are now gone with the soil change. She had so many leaves that I was worried she was too dense to receive light everywhere.

AFTER

Repotted her in a bonsai mix, gritty, with no peat or anything else. Hoffman's bonsai mix. I watered her on the 29th, and the 4th. This bonsai mix gets very dry very quickly, so I water at least once a week. Large drainage holes, very quickly drains.

Since I repotted her, and since repot only, she has lost maybe 1.5/3 of her leaves. All leaves are bright green, nothing wrong, no parasites. They just drop. So easily. Like when I'm spraying her for humidity. Just. Drop. A lot of them are baby leaves, but many are adult. This keeps happening every day. I spray her 2x a day with warm water for humidity.

Her roots were phenomenal! Very firm, large, nothing wrong with them. A nice crisp white, so root rot is not an issue.

Under a nice grow light, 12 hours a day, good air circulation. House is always above 70F.

What gives?
