Mixing colors and patterns! HELPPPP

Hi! So my boyfriend and I bought a house and I love to decorate. I wanted to change the floors to a dark wood but we came to the conclusion it was just way too expensive. The whole house was on a gray scale and I never thought the light brown matched. Now we need to work with it but I'm having a hard time transitioning all the rooms to flow together. Pictured is a desk my bf built and then burned to really show the grain of the wood. Also pictured is my (can I just say I'm in love) with our pearly white dining room table, and then our living room that has the blue, gray and white colors. That's all the color I have for now. I just need help with how to make everything flow! What should I put in the dining room?! Just some suggestions on decorating and patterns would be greatly appreciated!!

One big change I think you should make is the chandelier. Furniture, from what I can see, has a retro Art Deco feel.

Our colors right now are like light brown, black, white and gray with a blue and gray rug. That's the only color I have so far besides silver. And yes I am changing the chandelier! They had all these bronze finishes in the house that we are slowly trying to change out!

I love your desk. It's very unique and is a statement piece for sure. I feel like the other spaces are lacking personality. Getting a cooler light fixture will help for sure. But you need some color in both the dining and living room. The rug us really busy but it isn't particularly adding much color to the space because it has a lot of grays in it.

Can you move the sofa back further? It seems like it's blocking the fireplace right now. Here are some dining room ideas:
I assume you're going to move the computer tower and feed the cables under your desk, no? I love how open the space is but I wouldn't have much more than the monitor and keyboard on the desktop when idle.

Your floors are beautiful! You should be happy that you did not go dark.....they are AWFUL to keep clean. I would open all of the blnds and let light in. Natural light makes everything look better. Be sure to use lamps and NO overhead lighting.

Your furnishings are lovely.
