Mirror Proportion/Type for 48" Vanity

Could I get some guidance re: what size mirror to get for this 48" (single sink) bathroom vanity? I live miles from stores and SO don't want to return a heavy mirror because it's too big/small/tall/short... Is there a rule eg. Should a mirror be two thirds the width/height to look blanced

Would a round mirror work? Or a blingy one? Or should I stick with a plain arched cherry wood frame to match the vanity? Too. Many. Choices. Need. Help!

P.S. Dark bathroom so I'm going with chrome faucets & lots of shiny accessories & crystal to brighten things up...
