Darlene, I have a 'Gold Dust', which is Twinkle x cheirophorum, and my spike started in August or so...and opened in December...so yes, darn slow things, as slow as some of the paphs. Also flowers are fairly transitory, less than a month for the whole spike..but smells nice. I assume the same for yours?

I had the same experience. It took months for the flower spikes to mature and blooming was over in about 3 weeks. For some reason the flowering period felt a lot shorter this year than in previous years. It think I have had more staggered blooming spikes in the past. This year all of the spikes were fully open within a week of each other.
