I recently bought a Potinara in bud. It was labeled as "Jerry Rekreid" Hawaii. One bud rotted before opening, but the other (on a separate pseudobulb) did open, although the flower stem kept it "caught" in the sheath, until I cut the sheath open a little. I noticed that the flower stem was quite distorted. Maybe if I had cut the sheath open earlier, it might have straightened out. In any case, I can't seem to find this orchid hybrid listed anywhere, and I'd like to know more about it's blooming cycle, and other information. Any help about this orchid, or Potinara in general would be helpful, since I have never grown this type of orchid before.
