I think lighting is the simplest update to do to any room. If you feel you need another one, go for it! It can add lots of style to any room and does not have to be too expensive. Happy Decorating.

I do have a large home 6000 square feet, I'm thinking I would like one in the living room. Considering what's there now are ugly cans up in the ceiling and I need the light. I want it to give light but not be a focal point as the chandelier in my dining room is quite large and definitely a piece!

If the chandeliers complement each other yet are different sizes it would be fine. Also, if you want the dining room chandelier to be the star, have the living room chandelier understated elegance. Nice to look at but won't overshadow the DR.

Not a big fan of chandeliers in the living room unless you have a ledge soffit. Then I would do rope lighting around the edge of the soffit. Otherwise, I would prefer low level lighting on end tables or sconces by fireplace.
