Beth, I started writing down my favorites as I was scrolling through yours, but got tired of writing...so, so many beauties! I do especially love MU LAN, though.

Kate, you have some marvelous M's, too! Your Munstead Wood & Molineux are spectacular. That little poly is cute, as well!

    Here are some of mine:

    Mary Washington (noisette)

    Marchesa Boccella (Hybrid Perpetual)

    Mrs. BR Cant (tea)

    Maman Cochet (tea)

    Mademoiselle Fraziska Kruger (tea)

    Madame Lombard (tea)

    Marie Pavie (polyantha)

    Monsieur Tillier (tea)

    Marie Van Houtte (tea)

So many beauties everyone! Macho Man was a great one to start with, what a beauty, I agree with Kate! I loved your Mortimer Sackler, Kate and I am sad that you lost it. Maman Cochet is a beautiful rose. I love all your Tea roses, Pat.

Pat---love your Mary Washington. Not familiar at all with it. Wish I could grow noisettes here. Maman Cochet is lovely also.

Sara--I admire your Michelangelo every time I see it--very photogenic rose, isn't it.

Beth, I also love your stripeys like Modern Magic.

    Looking forward to more "M"s. ; )

    Kate

Thank you "guy's". I was feeling a little blue, but then found the "M" roses,

    what a wonderful pick-me-up.

Sara Ann, I love the color & form of your Michelangelo! The softness of Moonstone & Memorial Day are so pretty, too.

Who knew the M's would have so many gorgeous roses.

It is probably safe to communicate that Beth has a fabulous encyclopedia of gorgeous roses. Pat... some of your roses and images make my heart skip a beat. What a varied collection!!! Teas roses are among my rose gardening weaknesses. Right now, my garden is looking at yours with so much envy. It really wants to be yours when it grows up, although I am sure space in my city yard is lacking.

    Lynn

Thanks so much, Lynn! Most of my OGRs are only a few years old, but they quickly stole my heart. I still love my moderns for their vase life and color diversity, but the antiques have a undeniable charm about them.

Beautiful roses everybody! Kate I love your MUNSTEAD WOOD. I'm with Pat on that one! Mine will never look as good as yours. Heck, I haven't even seen it bloom in a couple of yrs! Love your MYSTIC BEAUTY too!

Pat I've never heard of MARY WASHINGTON. But then I'm not that into noisettes. Nonetheless she's a beauty! Your MAMON COCHET is gorgeous, and I love that shot of MISTER LINCOLN.

Sara-Ann I love your MELODY PARFUMEE...hmmm wonder why I didn't have any photos of mine last yr? Oh well...And your MME ISAAC PERRIERE is lovely!!

Thanks Kate, Pat and Beth. Kate, I forgot to mention that your Mystic Beauty is so lovely. Pat, Marmalade Skies is so pretty. I really love your roses. Beth, you have so many interesting beauties, your lavenders and purples are always so lovely. Thanks for doing the alphabet, helps make the non-blooming months a little better.

I counted!! There are 88 beautiful rose pics on this post!! A magnificent collection of M's!! Pat, being more into moderns, there are a couple of your's that I find very interesting and are making me think I should branch out a bit. I find Marie von Houtte especially beautiful!

My contribution to the M's photographed in my garden in 2015 are:

Mainzer Fastnacht (aka Blue Moon + a whole lot of others)

    Mamy Blue

Marie Curie (she never let's me down)

Marvelle (aka Tropical sunset/Rainbow Niagara) - strange that there are two registered roses under the name Marvelle. Nirp registered a florist rose in 2007. Suppose it depends on the country?? Just another example how the breeders complicate things!

    Mind Games

    and

Moonstone (new last year and didn't really do that great)

OMG, I think you've all outdone yourselves on this one! Tons of beauties and so many rare and unusual ones too!

    Magic Show

    Mardi Gras

One I call Marge's Rose. I have no idea what it is but I grew it from a cutting from my friend Marge's yard so I named it after her. I'm glad I grew it because she's gone now and the house was sold and the rose, which she grew for many decades, is no more.

    Marijke Koopman

    Mary Pickersgill

This one is from my very first batch of seedling. I started doing them in 2006. It's designation is MIP0206. She is from an OP seed from Madame Isaac Pereire. I haven't thought of a name for her yet.

    Moonlight Magic

    Moonstone

Mutabilis which I sure hope survives the winer because I just love it!

Have I mentioned how much I love the alphabet posts? Seriously, you guys have fantastic roses! That is all I have to say. :D

    I have a few --

    Munstead Wood

Molineux - it doesn't always look like this. I wish it would!

Marilyn Monroe - just after I bought her at a rose show last spring.

And the inevitable Marie Van Houtte:

    What a beautiful hobby...

I don't know why my pictures posted so small. Mysteries abound.

Beautiful roses! Just a few from me.

    Mercury Rising

Molineux - love the range of colors.

Mr. Lincoln - a little pinker than the actual color.

    Munstead Wood

Thank you everyone for your lovely photos!

    Ann

Ooooh! I love that MERCURY RISING. I have one coming from Regan's pretty soon. Can't wait!

Hi Beth -- Really loved that Monet lavender rose, and I hope you enjoy Mercury Rising -- give it lots of headroom! Speaking of Regan's, I got a call from the nursery letting me know I can pick up the four bare root roses I ordered. One of them is Watercolors Home Run that you've posted photos of. I really liked it and I'm looking forward to seeing it in my garden.

Another bare root I'm getting from Regan's is Love Song -- thank you to all on this forum who have posted photos and shared your experiences. I hope I have the same success.

I'm a big fan of bi-colors roses that are fragrant so I'm getting more of two roses I already have -- Bella Roma and All American Magic (o.r.).

It's about an hour and half drive for me to Regan's but I'm really looking forward to getting my first bare roots of the season.

Thank you so much Beth and others for going thru your roses and doing this every year. It is SO helpful to see garden photos. Beth I'm looking forward to seeing your Mimi Eden (also called Mini Eden) this year. I have 2 babies and it has been hard to know where to put them because there isn't a lot of info on this rose here in the states. Your photos help! I'm extremely grateful to all of you for doing this each year! :)

Thanks Cori Ann. It's just something I started several yrs ago. We get bored in the wintertime with no blooms, so I thought it would be a good way to entertain and enable everybody!

Not sure how great my MIMI EDEN was this past season. I think I need to move her to a better location. She gets a little too much shade I'm afraid. Maybe this season I'll move her to a better location. The blooms are really sweet and small, but they last forever!! They just don't repeat all that much tho. Probably due to the shady area. There are other roses in that area that bloom more, so maybe she's just one that really needs more sunlight than some.

Question: Did I miss the "L" thread somewhere? Can't seem to find one--and I was so looking forward to showing off (again) one of my favorite roses Love Song.

    Kate

Kate this thread is from 2015. I'll be doing the "l" roses around Tuesday. Just did the K's this morning.

    OK--thanks.
