mhwhetsell missed that it's a rangetop and doesn't have an oven. I'd go for it but recognize that it will eventually need service and you should have access to someone to service it or be mechanically handy enough to DIY.

Thank you all, especially stevep2005. For the igniters, is this the right thing to get (six of them, that is)? Also (and I know this may be a silly question), could you specify the size and material you ended up using for the screws?

Those look like the old igniters- I haven't seen a new one, but maybe they sealed better where the electrode wire comes out of the ceramic. I used the Viking igniters when I replaced ours, but this wasn't a straight replacement. There's a long post here somewhere about doing it. No troubles since, though. Rather than replace the screws, you might be able to get by with using anti-seize on the screws to keep them from rusting and seizing. Look for Never Seez at your local hardware store. I'd probably use it even if you get new screws. Little glob in each hole with a toothpick.

I just found a post on that replacement. Looks like it's pretty challenging. Hmm. Can anyone else confirm that the igniters I linked to above are the old ones?

In my opinion, I would buy a new one. 35% is not a savings. The units when built did not sell at today's prices. Bluestar has had several price increases since they first introduced them. I think you are buying a used rangetop for its original price when it was new.

Check the serial number of the unit and call Bluestar to see what part you need!
