Not wide enough! The diners against the wall had better be skinny and agile! For proper dining and sitting distance another foot is necessary...two would be better. Hope this isn't your home and I've just rained on your parade! Ideally there is four feet from table to another wall or obstruction.

I have an old home with narrow porch, how wide is this or any ideas of how narrow a table one could get away with and what chairs would work best?
