Looking for artichoke roots/plants

10 years ago

I live in the DC area (zone 7?) and would like to have artichokes to pick this summer(2016).

Could I start the roots indoors soon and move outside in the spring?

(We have a pretty cold room to grow them during the winter.)

If it's possible, do you know a really good source for about 5 or 6 plants/roots?
