Mid rage cupboards- does maple VS Melamine make much difference? I had them both in my hand, painted same colour and the only difference I could tell was where the the 45s joined in the corners on the maple sample. I could see if I was staining it and wanted some grain to show through but they will be painted warm white. So should I pay more for wood just because it's wood? Is there something I not aware of?
