No- actually if you look again you would see that I put "Seabird" in parenthsis. I believe the original translation from the incas said "guano" meant seabird.

I have the peruvian seabird which is 12-11-2 and comes in pellet form. I just run a little of it thru my cheap coffee grinder and make a flour of it. Much easier and more accurate to measure a proper amount to a plant. Guano is more expensive than a large bag of compost, but from my understanding is that guano locks itself into the plant area and does not wash away like synthetics will just wash away into the ground table , but if you keep adding fert. of course the plant will grow but the soil will be dead. Because this grade of guano is not only high in nitrogen but phosphorus too is my preferred use of this product. Following is maybe a better shot of said plant.

Salvia oxyphora is definitely hardy in USDA zone 7b in North Carolina.
