you actually want your backsplash to be beautiful AND boring. how about a glass tile that is a beige that rests nicely with your granite.

if you were wearing a knock out patterned skirt (or pants....) would you wear a cashmere solid sweater or a silk print blouse?

Im leaning toward the glass. It is really pretty. My biggest issue is that I do not like the color of my cabinets but can't afford to replace. So Im trying to like my kitchen and Im relying on the backsplash to help the cause.

There seems to be lots of background gray in the counters. As long as you're going to the tile store why not bring home some light gray glass tiles to compare with the beige?

It might also be a good contrast to the wood cabinets.
