Not clear on what you are asking about end panels etc. but 42" uppers will net out at 96" if the typical 18" space is left above the standard 36" counter. So with your 9' ceiling the 42" uppers will end 12" down from your ceiling.

That was what I was looking for. So, if the fridge trim kit is 79" tall, then they have room to make some small cabinets about.. 17" tall, minus the width of the wood. Cool

I was trying to picture in my head if the fridge was going to look taller / awkward with the rest of the upper cabinets.

The trim kit should end up at 84"H. A better look would to have 30"H wall cabinets installed, as the tops would align with the 84" refrigerator. Then do stacked 18" cabinets above that. That will take you to 6" from the ceiling. That 6" is then filled with molding that goes around the entire room.

Hrm.. that is actually what I would like more. I need to see what the cost would be and if we can move things around in the budget. TYVM Sophie.

Btw, Sophie.. not doubting you in the slightest, and I love the suggestion (been thinking of a way to get approval to spend a little more to do it anyway.. heh).. but maybe I have the wrong trim kit instructions. Here is the instructions for the enclosure and sizes?

They have the height at 79". The professional Frigidaire series states it's height is 70.63"

I am not seeing where this trim kit meshes with that. I think your numbers are more realistic.

Time to call Frigidaire, I guess.. heh

EDIT: Turns out it is 79" tall.. but I am still going to go with the other idea if I can fit it into the budget.. lol
