Paula, that weird English is cool! When I was learning the language some 50+ years ago, I remember how confusing it was! :-)

    Have a great day, Paula!

How is it we have all learned to speak such a confusing language but we find it so hard to learn another?

    On Stage just pushing through.

Same Orange Marmalade late in season.

One Man's Treasure. Lovely glossy veined green leaves

Jerry, those On Stage shoots look awesome! I hope mine beefs up like that too in a year or two. How old is yours?

hostakeover, we like a lot of the same hostas ;-)....

Myrle, beautiful pics - I, too, stopped to stare at On The Edge!...after I wiped drool off the iPad - Ocean Isle colours are stunning!

Thank you Josephine and Dave. I believe the On Stage is at least 6-7 years old, possible more. For some reason I don't have a record of it. I was not very vigilant with names and records when I first started getting into hostas.

Hostatakeover: Love that Ocean Isle Twist - something kind of different. Beautiful.

Thanks Barb. Funny you should mention it because just now I was looking at the ONE photo of Ocean Isle Twist at the Hosta Library and after 5 years I finally must conclude mine doesn't look like that one.

These folks show a picture of Ocean Isle Twist here

    https://www.hostaparadise.com/ocean-isle-twist/7841/hosta-details.aspx

and theirs looks more like the one I have than the one shown on the HL too, so don't know what to think.

A couple years ago during that contest to update the HL pictures I submitted a pic of my Ocean Isle Twist to add to the Library and it was rejected. Never knew why. Perhaps the judges also questioned whether it was actually OIT.

This'll be the third time I posted this pic, but it's my fav. That's Inniswood behind OG. They were the same size when I planted them.

Hosta takeover: My comment wasn't even a suggestion that maybe your ID was wrong as I am not familiar with that hosta. Funny though how comments will lead us back to the library to check. For me it has been photos during this month that have sometimes had me thinking why does mine not look like the others. Regardless of the name, you have a coool hosta!

Dave... thanks for the thumbs up!

    BC

Barb, it never occurred to me that you were suggesting the ID was wrong. Guess it's just been in the back of my mind for the past few years that something wasn't right. Just happened these thoughts moved to the forefront and I finally checked on it. When I came back to post about it, your comment was there already.

Thanks so much for your kind words about Ocean Isle Twist. It is different, whatever it is! :-)
