I'm on the fence with either a passion vine or dutchmans pipe. I'm not good with decision making...knowing me...I'll probably ended up getting both of them.

Dutchmans Pipe is one I tried to grow years ago, but it never took for me. Passion vine seems to go crazy and come up every where, but it's almost worth it, it's so beauiful and the egg looking seed pods are interesting. It seems like I heard you can eat them, but to be safe I'll just consider that a rumor. :) Do you like annual vines?

Was your pipevine not hardy?

I do like mandevilla vines in the summer to put on the patio. Honestly, I do like morning glories. I wouldn't put them in my gardens. Maybe in a wooden barrel and have it cascade down and cut it back if it needs it. I just have an image of cascading, fragrant vines all over the place. Unfortunately, I don't have the space.

Which pipevine did you try? Ignore what I asked before lol. I'm assuming your in zone 7?

I don't know, it was from Vermont, a generous friend. Yes I live in Baltimore MD. The Mandevilla is lovely, but I;m to cheap to buy it, and I like a vine that grows fast. Ever grow Hyacinth Bean Vine? Heavenly Blue MG is not invasive. It's so beautiful, like a gift every morning. :)
