Slow to get going, should I worry?

I potted this bulb almost 2 weeks ago. When I planted it, there was the tip of one blossom stem showing, maybe 1/4". After a week or so, the second tip showed up. The first picture was taken a couple days after planting.

The second picture was taken 9 days later.

Do you think this bulb will be OK?

I had the dreaded red blotch, in a serious way, last year on essentially all of my 30+ bulbs. I am a little afraid that it has carried over to this season.

What hybrid is this? What did you do to get rid of red blotch?

I'm not sure I like the looks of the bud on the right but another picture would be helpful when the bud has totally emerged from the bub.

@kaboehm - I can't tell you the variety...probably 25 years ago my mother grew several from seed. It is a beautiful deep rose color.

For the red blotch...last summer I sprayed the plants 3 or 4 times with an anti-fungal at the end of the season. Then as I was prepping the bare bulbs for winter storage, I dusted with Captan. I fear my efforts were too little, too late.
This is a picture of the blossom color of this beauty from a couple years ago.

I agree, it's a beautiful shade. Only thing you can do is wait, I think...
