I don't have both lines, but the thick aluminum core base that extends all the way to the edges on the Fissler Solea is one of the best available. I do have some similarly thick pans from Silga. You'll get good even performance, with a little less responsiveness than the Demeyere Atlantis. I think the Proline is a smart choice as the clad sidewalls are very useful in a frypan. I always like to mix and match -- you could just get the Fissler saucepans and sautes, keep the Prolines, and add a clad saucier (like the Demeyere Industry). In my US based case, we can get Demeyere on sale but Fissler's US pricing is much higher than what you can get in Europe.

I have the Demeyere Atlantis line and love it. They are extremely high quality and definitely worth the money in my opinion. Be warned though that they are very heavy. So with your cooking ingredients, they become extra heavy, which is fine with me but my partner isn't so thrilled about the weight.

Solea is a very good line. If you're looking at the Fissler, I recommend perhaps looking into the Original Pro line as well. They are a bit cheaper but just as good IMO. Before I had my Atlantis, this is the line I used and sometimes I still bring it out to use now and then.

Hi, thank you both for posting :) I did end up buying the Solea line and I am very, very pleased with it. They heat evenly, are of moderate weight (I can handle them without any issues) and they look stunning :)
