A ghost town is what happens when friends leave instead of sticking together and making this place what it once was. I'm sorry but what do you expect when you left and everyone else did too? You didn't stick around to help so why the mean post? This was a community and that means everyone stays to help. Not just the mods. They cannot do it all. What few are here are at least trying. What are YOU willing to do?

I've lurked, but haven't posted very much since the switch to Houzz.

For starters, I am not actively growing anything from seed, and I only have a few varieties of fresh seeds that I have collected. Because I have not been actively trading (or even just sharing for postage) my trade list is very out of date.

There are a couple of things that have bothered me since the switch. I 'think' many older GW members who were quite active, are either gone, or they have changed their screen name. Who knows? There are very few GW names that look familiar to me.

Yotetrapper, you are one of the more familiar names, and I see you have been a member since 2007.

I'm not sure, but I think that many members lost their 'join date' from their member page. Now, there are so many new names with no join date. I wish there was a join date on every Member Page.

Though the Conversation Side (remember Conversations?) of the old GW Seed Exchange wasn't all that active, I would love to see it reinstated. It would be great if the posts that had been on Conversations could be restored to that side.

Right now there are six posts here at the Seed Exchange that, in the past, would have been posted to the Conversation side of the SX (seed exchange).

It would also be nice if the old GW Special Instructions for the Seed Exchange were reinstated, and officially posted at the top of the page. On old GW SX, all posts on the On Topic/Discussion side were actual trade posts. Now things just seem so willy-nilly.

Many subject lines list seeds, but they don't tell if they have, or if they want, that particular seed.

If the SX had an Off Topic/Conversation side, many of the new, informative and helpful posts could all be corralled there.
