Hoya cv. Christine

Look what I found yesterday, two new tiny peduncles on Christine! I got her as a cutting from ricnfl in June 2015, she came with a mature peduncle that has not bloomed for me yet. I remain hopeful...

Not too early for me I'm sooo ready for spring. I was surprised to see hyacinths and early tulips are already coming up in my yard. SC's weather is four seasons in winter.

Here too! And even though I have my Hoyas under a supplemental T5, they've been a little bit sleepy the past couple months. I noticed last week that there has been a flurry of activity so I'm thinking it is the extra 5 seconds of daylight we are getting here in the dreary Pac NW. lol

That is so exciting about your peduncles! You've only had the plant for such a short time. You must be doing everything right!!

I am excited about the longer daylight too!!

New peduncles are budding up! One is green, the other is a funny color sort of brownish red and doesn't look healthy like the green one. I guess it won't survive long?

Congrats on the buds Liberated ! Spring is almost here. When I have a Hoya bud up at adjacent peduncles for the first time of the season, usually one will blast and the other bloom. I had a KQ do that a lot, too. Hopefully they will get in sync for you. ; )

YAY for blooms! I'm pretending the other penducle is just going to reward you with surprise orange blooms. :D

Hoya cv. Christine has not tried to bloom again and no new growth in awhile. Still 9 leaves and 3 peduncles. I will pot up early spring since it is root bound in it's 3 inch pot. This has to be my slowest growing Hoya but I am thankful that it is still alive.

So cv Christine is trying again. Only 6 flowers remain on this peduncle hopefully they won't fall off. I'm holding my breath. All it's energy must be going to peduncle growth it now has 5, and still only 9 leaves.

She blooms! This is the first time she has bloomed for me. I'm soooo grateful!
