By that, I meant wrapping the blossom to prevent cross pollination. Are they the right type of material? I'm growing several types of basil and would to collect seeds.

I'm not sure if basil is self pollinating or not. If they are then the bags will probably work. If they aren't self pollinating then you'll have to come up with alternate means to get pure seed (maybe let only one basil flower at a time).
