My monarch flew this morning! He didn't go far, goT to the wall and fell on the ground. I got him back onto my finger and then he flew back onto the original milkweed plant he came from, and is sitting there sunning his wings. I took a q-tip and put some sugar water on it and tried to get him to drink, but he didn't. There aren't a lot of things with nectar around, so I showed him where the sugar water is and left it out on the table. Left his little stick under the table there in case he wants somewhere safe to go tonight, but he probably will have flown off by then. YAY!

ETA: He's gone now. There are a few hbiscus blossoms open, so hopefully, he got something to eat. I'm so happy he survived.
