The point where all those branches begin is likely the graft or bud union; only growth that comes out below that would be a "sucker" (growth from the rootstock); and it will likely have a different leaf than the others.

Are you sure it's grafted? Were you told so when you bought it or does it have a root stock tag?

Reason I ask is that it looks to me more like a rooted cutting. Rooted cuttings are a very common way to propagate Meyers in small pots like that.

A grafted tree will usually be sold in a larger pot. Plus the growth pattern looks to me more like a cutting.

If it's a cutting you don't have to worry about suckers as there would be no root stock and all branches would be the Meyer variety no matter where on the trunk they grow from.

Actually I am unsure if this is grafted or not. I checked the site and of the supplier I purchased from and was unable to find that out. I'm going to call them to be sure only because I think it's just something good to know. Thanks for your input!
