Monkey Orchid

I heard about the Monkey Orchid. My Mom would love them. My qestion is :

1.)Where could I buy one?

2.) Are they one of those temperamental orchids that is hard for an amateur to keep alive? I could keep it:
a.) in a South facing window in Zone 6 or
b.) in an unheated south facing "sunroom" that is effectively kind of an uncontrolled greenhouse that gets very cold in the winter but never below freezing.

Both spots are suitable for Jade plants and "Big Box Store" orchids.

Well there are 2 orchids commonly called "monkey orchids", Orchis simia and Dracula gigas, and maybe a few other Draculas.

I wouldn't consider either to be beginner orchids, and they are very different. One being a terrestrial from Europe ( Orchis) and the other (Dracula) being from South American cloud forests. Both are interesting and odd but may be difficult to find and even more difficult to grow.

I have neither so I can't advise on culture, but if you Google the names above you will find plenty of info.

If you really want to take on this challenge you can try Dracula lotox. It is one of the more forgiving of the genus. Still it not considered easy.
