This is really cool! I'm interested in how the tree turns out. Where are you going to plant a tree thats going to get so big?

They can be kept as a Bonsai if desired.

Growing Seqouia from Seed

Usually soak seed for 12 to 24 hrs. Drain and place seeds in sealed sandwich baggie. Place Baggie in refrigerator for 3 to 4 weeks, to simulate winter( break seed dormancy). Remove seeds,sow on the growing medium surface, and cover with light mulch of grit ( Perlite or Pumice is good). Growing medium Peat:Vermiculite or Peat:Perlite at 1:1 ratio. Use a deep cup or Cone Containers.

50ppm N is about 1/2tsp MG 24%N per 2.5 gal water

100ppm N is about 1tsp MG 24%N per 2.5 gal water

My kiddos and I had 2 growing for a while in a small terarium which came with the seeds (gift from a relative). They definitely need humidity. Maybe a homemade plastic terarium made from a water bottle would be a good place to start. They normally live in a rain forest so be sure to keep them moist.

Thank you all for the feedback. Sad to say, the little guy seemed to have gotten scorched after putting it under a fluorescent bulb :/

I'd planned to grow it as a bonsai. I sowed ~10 so hopefully I'll have at least 1 other specimen but with such a low germination rate I'm not getting my hopes up.
