Bare Root Perennial wholesale group buy

last modified: 10 years ago

I am trying to start a 80ft herbaceous border in my backyard of a large assortment of perennials and grasses. Buying enough plants to fill this would cost me an arm and a leg so I have decided to go the route of wholesale bareroot plants. I have researched all over trying to find a place to do order from at a wholesale cost. Lucky me I have finally found one but minimums are 25 of each variety. The company is De Vroomen's out of Illinois and they grow or import all their bare roots. Im wanting more along the lines of 10-15 of each variety and thus I'm looking to see if anyone else would want to order the remainder of the 25 plant minimum.

I have attached the order form at the bottom which has all the varieties as well as the listed price each. I want an assortment of perennials so I would rather you choose your favorites and I'm sure I will love them too. Also if there is anyone looking to not spend as much and get a smaller amount of random perennials then contact me and I can make a few perennial assortments out of the plants I end up with. And if there are enough people wanting to go this route, each person could chose one or two varieties and receive a few random varieties.

Rules to the group order will be as followed:

1. I ask that if you are interested be willing to buy 10-15 of each variety and I will take the rest.

2. I ask that they be perennials suited for Oklahoma and for full sun (except hosts which i can always find places for)

3. I ask you to keep the price under $2 a plant in order for me to cover the rest. (Only a few types of plants are over this amount but feel free to contact me if there is something you really want and we might be able to work something out)

4. Willing to purchase a minimum of 4 varieties but feel free to order more.

5. I will be picking them up in Illinois when I go home in the beginning of March and thus there is no shipping fee but a couple dollars towards a contribution for gas would be appreciated.

6. Orders must be prepaid either by paypal or check. All money for orders must be received by me no later than the first weekend in March which is when I will head to pick them up.

7. I will arrange for pickup immediately after I return either in Norman where I live or in OKC at a set meeting location.

8. If you are wanting to participate but want to also receive smaller amounts of a few random varieties, email me with your top 5 choices and I will see if there is enough interest to go this route as well.

I encourage you to visit De Vroomen's website to see pictures of the different varieties. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me.

-Kyle
