Not sure if you've seen it, but here's a link to the specs on the unit:

This is different from Thermador's other pro style ranges, Harmony styles included - basically they've taken the burners from their standard cooktops and put them on here, instead of the 18,000 btu burners that they put on the 30" 4 burner model.

Not sure where you're located, but the reasoning for this was to help with make-up air becoming more important with ventilation in various places across the country. Since this has less BTU output on most burners, the ventilation requirement isn't as strict. It's fairly new to Thermador so I don't know how much you'll find review wise, but if you look at reviews of oven models and their 5 burner cooktops that'll give you an idea of what you're looking at.

Thanks so much for the link. We are building a home in Rhode Island. I think reviews were good for cooktops. I hope the oven is good. I've spoken to a couple of repair places, they said Thermador a good unit. I cook and bake a lot, and want to make sure this is a good investment for both the gas burners and the oven. We are getting a chimney style ventilation hood 650 CFM, which I was told was definitely adequate. Thanks again.
