Help with choosing lampshade

Just got these two lamps which I love from Pottery Barn, one large one small, but the shades they recommended don't fit properly. For the small lamp, which of two shades is better? First one is tapered drum that PB recommended, second is one I picked up. Forget that the second one is crooked.... :-)
Does the large lamp (bulb on) look okay with the other shade I bought today? I am wondering if the tapered shape with "seams" make it look too tailored for lamp style.
