I want to invite nearby folks to an event -- Saturday Feb. 20, 9:00 a.m., we're having a pruning and training workshop in Ruth's Rose Garden, on the campus of Florida Southern College, in Lakeland. Stephen Scanniello (curator of the Peggy Rockefeller Rose Garden of the New York Botanic Garden, president of the Heritage Rose Foundation, designer of Ruth's Garden, and author) and I will be conducting it. Yes, we have an ulterior motive -- volunteers to help prune our garden! It should be a great day of fellowship and prickle scratches. Join us if you can.
