Is it a guest bath or one you will use all the time? If it's a guest bath, you could set out stacks of plain white hand towels on one side. A ceramic white soap dispenser would also be solid and ground it.

You could also think about doing a bit of a tiled backsplash in a solid coloured ceramic.

It looks like things aren't quite finished yet. I would bet that once everything is in, it won't be so jarring for you. I would just leave it and see if it grows on you.

Changing from down- to up-lighting might help,too :)

The counter is new so you might just be more focused on this right now. It might not be as noticeable when everything is done and there are more things to look at and you see the total room. The light and door knob look like thet are ORB. Are you using oil rubbed bronze for other bathroon items? What color towels will you have? Maybe try to stay away from any accessories that are shiny.

I have a feeling that once the bathroom is completed and accessorized this will fade much more into the background, and different lighting might improve the situation. After living with the completed bathroom for a few weeks you may not notice it much at all. A bit of bling in the bathroom is not such a bad thing!

It looks lovely, we selected a similar stone but in white for some of our bathrooms. I like a little sparkle! I think it'll look really nice once complete and accessorized.

Instead of trying to keep it the same as the rest of the house, I would use it as an excuse to have one room that was different, but that's just me, most people won't go that route. I would change the fixtures to chrome and use a light paint color and have a light, bright, blingy, happy room. I have to add a disclaimer here that I chose something similar for my kitchen counters to liven it up (so totally not me) and it is one of the best choices I made in the entire house.
