Six months later

So it's been about 6 months since I've lost about 72 seedlings to damping off but their counter parts that were in a separate pot are doing well. I can't believe the difference in growth habit or the little plants in the same pot under the exact same conditions.

3 were re-potted a while back but here are the remaining bunch that were re-potted yesterday.

Here they are separated by type.

The next few are split up by type.

1. The one on the right is growing really tall and thin

3.The one on the right here is super fat with 4 branches. One on the left is the one that took a full month to germinate.

4. not sure what happened to the 3rd one in this group as it was there originally.

5.This type seems be be growing fairly fat except my dwarf in the middle. Lost as to why he doesn't want to grow larger, though it does have some weird growths coming out at the base... maybe more roots?

Nicholas, Sorry to here you lost so many seedlings. Not nice when this happens. The rest are looking really good.

It is quite interesting with the seedlings and their individual growth as you mention. It is something I see with many that I start. Had kept some of the smaller ones and many never amount to much.

They should grow well in their new pots.

Nice to see your surviving seedlings Nicholas.They seem to have grown well and appear healthy with great roots. What medium did you replant these in? Are you planning on doing some root training ??

All my adeniums have been transferred to LECA medium(hydrotone).The ones which were not showing any growth have sprouted some leaves post potting into this new medium.I think I will stick to this medium for now for these plants as they really seem to like it and were not doing well in either coco peat or gravel.Not posting any pics for now till the growth becomes obvious and substantial to plain eye. Sorry to be long winded.

Right now they are in a mix of 50% perlite and 50% "cactus" soil. I may root train when they get a bit larger. Depends how they grow.
