How is the wood treated to deal with the winter weather/water snow etc...and how often does it have to be dealt with e.g. Every year, two years etc?

These are cedar timbers and were treated with an exterior oil finish. These timbers will require maintenance over time. We recommend annual reapplication of the finish, but depending upon the location and sun exposure, you might be able to stretch that a bit.
