Where do you live? Outdoors is an appropriate and probably best place for it (but maybe not at this point if buds have activated) if winter low temps are well above killing low temps. Water in the soil and inter-cellular water can freeze w/o damaging the plant. It's only when intra-cellular water (water within cells) freezes that you would have serious tissue damage.

I live in central new jersey. My tree was doing poorly b/c of its bad location and when it dropped below freezing i let it go dormant but then brought it indoors as i was afraid it was too weak to survive the winter. I have quite a good full spectrum led grow light, a humidifier and a heating pad; i really think i can manage it indoors much better than i can out. Pls advise. Thanks!
