Need ideas with colors

We just bought this house and we want to change the color in the entire house. This house has a lot of warm colors that I don't like cause I feel that looks old. I want something fresh and clean feeling with the color we'll have. At the beginning I thought some light green can go well with the color of the floors. However, we found a sofa that love that was dark gray and yellow pillows. Now I don't now which color could be better. Does anyone have any idea what color could work?

Get the furniture you love and then get an area rug you love and pull a paint color from the rug for your walls.

I agree with Tooky. You're not going to be replacing the furniture I'm sure. Maybe even replace just the pillows to go along with the area rug. You can find quite a bit of good decorative items on OverStock.com at fairly cheap prices.

Ok sorry I didn't even fully pay attention to your post in its entirety. The furniture is going. Here is a picture of a home I did some work at. It has green east and west walls with a very light beige color to the north and south walls.The wood flooring is close in color to yours, just a little darker.
