Should trim be the same throughout the house?

I've fallen in love with Farrow and Ball's White Tie (pictured) for my bathroom walls (photo shows trim but I'd love it for the walls). The trouble? All the trim in my house is painted BM Linen White and the color is very, very close. So do I 1) abandon White Tie and look for a lighter wall color to contrast with the Linen White trim? 2) Do I paint the bathroom trim something else so I can still have my White Tie? 3) Paint it all the same color? I want to add some dimension to what will be an all white toned bathroom so number 3 probably isn't for me. Thanks in advance for your help!

No one will notice, and it's not a faux pas. Do what's best for the room itself, what makes the room look best. I've seen Linen white in some rooms and bright white in others in the same house and it's fine.

its easier to have the trim the same throughout the house but not necessary. a bathroom always has a cased door so it wont cause a lot of hardship having a different color.

Thanks for your thoughts! In this case the adjacent room is dark stained oak (arts and crafts house) so it would not be noticed. I just wonder if it would be a design "no no". Sounds so silly but these days I guess I always have house value on the mind!

no, its simply about easier to have just one can of trim paint in the basement to do touch ups.

It does seem like people consider trim color room by room but I worry it would lend an non-cohesive look at some point.

Thank you for the comments. I have the same issue and you made me feel okay to change white trim color to more neutral white in a few rooms that I'm redoing that don't look good with the creamier trim. Hoping no one notices but me.
