That is my assumption too..pinterest. IMHO Pinterest copied this site..but they win in the end. Makes me rather ill.

Actually, the problem began when the forum changed over from Garden Web to Houzz. Many people left the forum because they didn't like the set up. I check in once in a while, but there just aren't many folks around. There is a new site called fleamarketgardening.com. A lot of the folks are on there with lots of good ideas. There are also a couple of the groups formed on Facebook by the regulars of this forum. It's a shame that this forum has become less visited.

Garden Web was great. I forgot that it became part of Houzz and wondered where it went. I too got so many great ideas and found so many suggestions on adhesives and how to make things. I'll try this site out and the fleamarketgardening.com site.

I don't know if anyone else is getting their posts rejected but I am. I finished my trombone player and couldn't post him. I emailed Houzz trouble shooting Oct. 1 with a copy of my post and asked what I could be doing wrong. They said they had issues earlier but they seemed to be resolved and to try again. I did a couple times and each time rejected. I finished my drum player and tried to post him and couldn't. At Christmas I had the band, the M & M carolers, and assorted other critters out singing in the yard and tried posting them. Again no luck.

I finally just gave up.

I used to be here ALOT back in the day. It was fun. Now, I don't have a garden, and well....I guess I've seen it all now. Back then, bowling balls were a new thing, totems were a new thing. Now, it's "been there, done that" for me. Painted ladders were a big thing, and planted dressers.

I was here from the very beginning of garden junk, but Houzz changed too much and I don't come often any more. I have all the things to make the angel, but have not put one together yet. I don't do facebook so I usually can't go there.

Hi, I remember you from the Garden Junk site. You make wonderful things. I'm going to try to see if I have all the pieces to make an angel.

I had to put it in google and it came up. Spent several hours looking at things but didn't find a forum like I am familiar with. Have to spend some more time there.

Was part of this garden junking site for over 10+ years. Then people started "stealing" ideas and writing books for a profit. People shared their ideas openly and gave instructions for everyone to see and do. Next thing you know it's in a book with someone else's name making money from it. I drifted away because of that. Still do my own thing just don't put it out there anymore. So...so...sad :(

I agree, I joined a while back and remember a different setup. Now I sit there for a few trying to find the damn forum. Anytime I Google a garden question Garden Web popped up.

So how do you find the forum? I spent 2 hours looking at things and still didn't find it. Enjoyed looking a the different ideas for 2 hrs :c)

On the far right there is an 'Advice' tab. Hover over it and it will show Garden, Home and Nature forums. :-)

I am still active on various of the gw forums like the kitchen table, and home decorating, I have checked in here regularly but there's very little action. I have started a few threads that I hoped would get some action in here. I wish you would try again tinfoil I love your stuff! I have problems with certain browsers when posting pictures but I get them to work usually. Down at the bottom of the page there's a FAQ link it has helpful instructions for the new features and how to post pictures. I have been doing a lot of of the adult coloring pages during the cooler months but am now working on getting the atrium plants looking good. I have some glass totems done and a few to finish.

tsugajunkie, I believe that frankielynnsie was asking for how to find forums on the flearmarketgardening.org site. I had the same question. I went to the site, it's nice, lots of great pictures. But I didn't really see a "forum". I did see comments on some of the pictures though. Oh well. I'm hoping we can breathe some new life into this one!

My favorite thing in this forum back in the day (Yes, i used the term "back in the day") was when people would post their hauls, like what they found on the curb or got at a thrift store or garage sale.

My favorite--When they posted their finds and others would brain storm about what to do with them. And pictures about things they had made with directions.

I used to visit both this gardenweb junk forum and the one above rather regularly, but my gardens have gradually transitioned away from junk. I still have my colored bottles, garden pets and gnomes, retired metal playground ponies, and the like, but I've pretty much stopped adding to the collection, so I am essentially "finished."
