Hello, and thank you for an excellent question! You'll notice there are two types of lighting in the shower. The first is a LED cove along the back side of the shower, and the second is two recessed lights to the left of the rain heads.

The LED
tape was installed in an aluminum channel with an acrylic lens from
Luminii. The most important note is since this is a shower, it requires the wet location rated LED tape which
is embedded in a resin silicone coating.
The gap at the back wall of the shower is 3 inches wide because the
electrician needs to be able to install the LED and channel 8” high into
the light pocket. For the best aesthetic, try and make the gap as small
as possible while keeping in mind a human hand is going to install it.
Your electrician will be challenged if there isn't enough room to
install the fixture.


The two recessed lights are also rated for showers and wet locations. Try researching CSL, Halo/Cooper or Bega products. Keep in mind some of these products are LED and some are MR-16 bulbs, so be sure to match the color temperature if you are using a LED strip light in a cove and a LED recessed light.
