now that seems very practical, though i am not sure about those toppings? likely to kick off? seems more practical to stack extra pillows there?

I also placed a dresser at my bed foot and love how functional it is with my limited space. Guests have positively commented on the look. However, the whole dresser, front and back is finished and the height does not extend higher than my platform bed (low look). I opted for nothing on the dresser though. Not only does it keep the beauty of the bed a focal point, but when no one is visiting it's a great catch all. Ha! (must admit my bedroom is a disarray when busy and not expecting lookers)

Puremichigan60, see you're a master gardener! That's impressive :) Would love any suggestions you can offer about my before and after front exterior pics.............still a work-in-progress.

Our North and South side exteriors are all roof to ground with nothing planted yet. I'd like to add some a small tree line down the sides that coordinate with the front. Thinking something evergreen and low maintenance (last home beds were way toooo big to maintain, but love gardening too).

So far in the front I've planted yuccas and all bedding plants that bloom orange (to grab the attention of the poppy colored door), yellow and white blooming. Went with pencil trees and yuccas for an asian/modern look. Suggestions???

Also, previous owner layed a brick walkway I'm not crazy about but wish to keep some of the original work.............thinking about maybe brick painting that and the porch concrete to co-ordinate before we extend the concrete??????

It can be practical for small spaces but unless absolutely necessary for storage I would stay awY from it. The layout always tends to look and feel a bit cluttered.

Additionally if the person in the bed moves around they may end up kicking it or worse!!

If you have other options possibly use a bench or two small benches at the foot of your bed.
