Call lilies not blooming

Not sure if this has been asked before, I can't find anything.... But I've had calla lilies for at least 6 years now, I'm in zone 4, I dig them up every year, replant in spring, but some haven't bloomed for a few years and some get a few lilies and are done. What am I doing wrong???

Perhaps your growing season is too short? Not enough sun and warmth where you're planting them? Not enough phosphorus in the soil?

Growing season is 4-5 months, I tried planting them in part shade, full sun, part sun....this year I want to make me a shade flower garden and I was planning on planting them in there, it doesn't have full shade, and I was wondering if it's a good idea, since I don't have any other place, except for maybe in pots.

also I never really watched the phosphorus if I'm giving them enough. Thanks for the commant!
