While you don't need a table runner, they're fun to switch out and very, very easy to make. If you don't sew, you can even use "wonder under" -- an iron-on product that lets you have your edges folded under and look finished.

What do you think of a large round interesting low metal tray or bowl.

Because of the very strong lined/shaped chandelier I think simpler is better on the table. I would look for a large sizer platter, a silver bowl with fruit, a ceramic bowl.

Instead of a table runner, consider colorful placemats, and china for four. Not necessarily for use, but for display.

I love a farm table, that you have, and feel that decor that is naturalal enhances that theme. Red apples, even if they're fake/glass/painted would be very "on theme" and fit well.

I think you need something a bit larger than the row of flowers down the center. As lovely as they are, they appear too small in scale to the rest of your room. Since your table is so big, I'd go for 2 identical arrangements 1/3 down the table and 2/3 down the table. (So they appear centered on either side of your chandelier). They should be low and colorful. But keep them simple and rustic. Maybe something like this x 2?

Your chandelier is too formal for the rustic look of table and chairs. To balance that, I think you also need to add something with bling on the black top in the background. Maybe mercury glass with something colorful in each corner? The green on the table and green on the back will help tie things together.

Don't add a runner.
