they are porcelain, which is a type of ceramic that has been fired at a very high temperature, which makes it more dense and moisture resistant than standard ceramics. Porcelain is also less porous than other ceramic tiles, and so is more resistant to stains. It is an excellent choice for bathroom and kitchen floors.

These particular tiles come from Italy.

The dimensions of the mosaic tile are 1.38 x 11.65 x .38 inches. The square tiles are 23.3 inches square.
