You say light turns everything cold. Why do you want gray walls? Darker is not a problem if that is what you like. Just make sure to have task lighting where needed. I also like darker colors.

Are you set on gray? Here are some Benjamin Moore Darryl Carter colors that I'm using now - the dark blue is a charcoal grey/navy mix that has a lot of depth, very striking.

I like the Abalone Gray by Benjamin Moore that the first poster recommended. I think that will look good with the wood. Based on the color samples on your wall..I'd go with the first one near the door.

I've been using these colors and they are definitely in the warm grouping. Definitely luxe.

Not sure about the creme color. Makes the walls feel more brown than gray
