Sherwin Williams has a program called Sher-color to do color matches of any item you bring in. You can bring in a BM Classic Gray swatch for them to match. Have seen this advertised online, you may Google for more complete info. Have not tried personally. Hope this helps.

You got the right info at first. The two companies use different formulas for similar colors.

Thanks emmarene. I'll head out to SW tomorrow and see what they say. I cannot do color match. It has to be a Sherwin Williams color since the manufacturer buys the paint.

The chips show two color that are sort of close. I wanted more color suggestions so I can get all the sample pots at the same time.

I went into a Sherwin Williams store and the guy told me that BM Classic Gray is a popular enough color that they have it in their system. Boom. Easy peasy. It looks a lot like the sapmple of SW Oyster White I got, but slightly different.

I looked a lot online a while back for light gray/off whites and saw one post saying that we Zurich white is close to be classic gray. I’ve sampled both in my home and I found classic gray to be a little more “gray” than the Zurich white, but very similar. We ended up preferring Zurich white and painted our kitchen walls with it.

I would love to know if you found a color similar to classic gray? I looove that color but can’t afford Benjamin Moore :( it’s way more exPensive than SW

Adding to this bc I tried SO many SW samples to find this! After trying origami white, oyster white, shoji white etc. etc. The winner was actually pearly white! It’s a touch lighter and an itty bitty touch warmer… But in most lights it’s hard to tell the difference! Pearly white is on the left, and classic gray on the right!
