Heavy appliances on an engineered wood floating floor

We are going to be installing engineered flooring. The flooring we purchased can be floated, nailed, or glued. I'd prefer to float it for ease of DIY, but am concerned with the weight of the appliances. 36 in range at 410 pounds and 48 in fridge at 875 pounds.

I've read that the weight is distributed enough that floating is fine. Is this true?

Glue down or nail down are ALWAYS the preferred methods of installing engineered. Floating just makes it sound echoey like cheap laminate. Hire a Pro to install it correctly.

Hi Wendy, "Yes" to answer your question. Just make sure that you have left the proper space around the room for expansion. Most engineered floors require 1/8" to 1/4" gap or space. This can be covered with your base or shoe molding.
