My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

    Thank you jasminmgm! The color on the painted cabinetry is Farrow & Ball Charleston Gray in a low satin/low lustre catalized lacquer. The bar cabinetry is quarter sawn white oak with a custom cerused finish. Thank you for the question!

      While this cerusing process was custom done, it was not done using a lime wash but rather a white glaze was floated on top of the previously stained wood and then wiped off. The white pigment gets caught in the oak grain. It's a difficult finish to master but there are tutorials online you can follow.

      Practice, practice, practice. It's better to get your color and technique nailed down before attempting it on the real thing! Oak is a great species of wood for this because the grain is pronounced enough to show off the white. Good luck!

      Thank you so very much for the detailed response! We’ve had several samples done and still not quite right. They were doing a glaze and I was not seeing the grains filled in with white like I’ve seen. We’ll keep practicing!!!
