What zone or where are you located in the world?

What is the light level?

What is the humidity level?

How are they planted (in a pot w/ what medium, on a tree, mounted, in a basket etc)?

How do you water (frequency and quantity)?

Do you fertilize and if so, how much and how often?

What is the temperature range in your location?

Do you grow indoors or outdoors or both?

James, that's a good link. I found some answers there to a few problems I'm having with a plant.

Emily, it is difficult to diagnose based on a couple pictures. if you purchased the plant at a nursery you could take it back and ask them if they know what's happening with it. If that's not an option, you can wipe the leaves, both underside and top side using a white cloth that you've dipped into a dish of alcohol. If it's spider mites you should have an orange residue on your wiping cloth. Then cleaning the leaves thoroughly with the alcohol will remove/kill most of the critters, wait three or four days and clean the plant again. You can also put the alcohol in a spray bottle, spray it on, wipe it off. You'll have to do this several times to make sure the plant is rid of them. There are also poisons you can purchase in any garden center. Just make sure they work for mites..

Good luck with your plant. You've kept it alive for a year, congratulations. So many people throw them away after the blooms fade.

Arthur you are scaring me. You never made comment when suzabanana first posted the above. Is it just me? I really like the list. Without a significant amount of information it becomes difficult to impossible to provide an answer. And chances are that if that list scares a novice then like many posts we get they just ask their question and never post again. If their concerns are genuine they will answer a few questions and appreciate the questions. If they do not provide all the information our answers may not be helpful and possibly be harmful.
