I prefer the clear, simple ones since they work with everything. We use both stemmed and stemless wine glasses.

Part of the tasting experience for wine is the color which tells you something about the wine you are about to drink. People who are really into wine will swirl the wine in the glass, hold the glass up to the light, look at the color, sniff and then taste. If you are not that into it, I guess it doesn't matter.

Simplicity is key

For a wine, do not take any coloured glass... It kills the experience of the wine. Unless you drink some ordinary wine, of course...
